Coco Chanel compared to Vera Wang?

I have to do a project comparing a business person of the past with someone of the future (after 1985). I decided to make the project more interesting by choosing fashion designers who are women. I was thinking about doing Coco Chanel in comparison to...Vera Wang, Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen, and I don't know. I just am wondering if people have suggestions on who I should compare Chanel with. My paper has to be broken down by themes, ex: women in fashion/workplace, building an empire in the 1920s compared to today...etc. Any help would be awesome!!! Thanks
