Advice on paganism/Wiccan?

Hello, before any of you Wiccan or Pagans get overly defencive and say i should spend more time learning about the gods and the responsibilities, please know i have been learning about and studying The wiccan and Pagan religion/ way of life for a little over a year. nature has always been a very important thing in my life, I have a Salem witch or two in my bloodline ( according to my grandmother and the internet) and i have always felt uncomfortable with religions like christianity. Today i realised Just how much i was meant to be a Wiccan, I was on the website Witchvox.com and i read this girls story that was so very similar to mine and now just one thing is missing, What did you do when you first were a Wiccan, I'm not asking for advice really, just more or less stories and other things that could help me. I live in a very small town where if your not a christian, white, heteroual and respectful of your elders you are immediately a Sadist, So i am almost positive there would be no one to teach me or mentor me on the wiccan ways or life where i live. I will have to keep my wiccanism a secret from most people or i will be regarded as that wicked Witch girl by everyone, my mother told me she supports me but to keep it between us. So please whatever help you can offer would be wonderful, and also how did you choose your wiccan name?
