Back Pain?? I'm only a teenager:( help!?

You are right in that your symptom is not renal/kidney related. If the same complaint in the same location has been chronic for 1 year a suggestive diagnosis of orthopedic in origin is indicated. You need a MRI of your back to determine injury or illness to the vertebrae or spinal cord and/or nerves. Trauma 1 year ago or longer could be a cause, as well as other conditions that need to be ruled out that can occur during puberty and adolescence. Warm compresses, children's motrin, drinking plenty of fluids, and avoid shoes with no proper support with help until you schedule a MRI. Do not take motrin if you are allergic to that medication. If you experience tingling and/or numbness to extremities, accidental urination, and/or fever go to the nearest ER immediately.
